Hawzah News Agency- In a statement issued after the UN Security Council’s adoption of the plan—without considering Pakistan’s proposals—Naqvi said the initiative is “a continuation of the bloody game of colonialism and imperialism,” noting that it lacks essential components such as a clear roadmap for an independent Palestinian state, an international stabilizing force, and a comprehensive framework for a Peace Council. He added that even China and Russia approached the plan with caution and did not fully endorse it.
Naqvi stressed that the obstinate positions of the Zionist regime amount to a further legitimization of colonial-era schemes. He warned that the plan’s future remains uncertain due to the absence of Palestinian representation and the limited support of major international actors, describing the process as a continuation of policies rooted in the Balfour Declaration.
He argued that the initiative constitutes “a new step toward advancing Zionist–colonial goals,” saying the regime’s rejection—and simultaneous benefit from the plan—reinforces long-standing imperial designs in Palestine. According to Naqvi, the Palestinian issue itself is a direct product of colonial policies, and this plan ultimately strengthens Zionist occupation.
Reviewing the historical trajectory of the crisis, he said the groundwork for the current situation began in the 18th century, was formalized with the 1917 Balfour Declaration, and culminated in the creation of the Zionist regime on May 14, 1948. He added that the 2021 unilateral war paved the way for the so-called “Abraham Accord,” now given international weight through the Security Council’s approval of the Gaza plan.
Naqvi questioned how any peace initiative can succeed when its fundamental requirements are missing: “If the basic and vital points are ignored, how can one expect an oppressive regime to move toward peace?”
He concluded that the dominant Gaza Peace Plan is vague, lacks guarantee for implementation, excludes key Palestinian and international stakeholders, and ultimately operates in favor of the Zionist regime and colonial powers.
